There is lots to look forward to in the next few weeks ….
Thursday November 7th at 7:30 pm – Colin and Susan Ross
Colin and Susan Ross will be giving an illustrated talk in the Activities Centre about their year as Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress in 2023/24. They are both former teachers and experienced in speaking publicly.
As usual there is no admission charge but a small contribution for refreshments is appreciated.
We hope you may be able to attend.
Wednesday November 13th at 2:30 pm – Craft Afternoon
Sheila Hodges and Dot Willens will hold a craft afternoon when there will an opportunity to make a Christmas decoration. There will be a small charge for materials. Please let Sheila know if you’d like to attend.
Sunday November 17th at 3:30 pm – Annual Team Quiz followed by tea
Our annual team quiz will be held at the Activities Centre. Come as a team or just turn up and we will find you a team. Bring your own drinks. Teams will take part in the same quiz in many other venues. Can Whinfell take first prize once again this year?!
There will be a pit stop in the middle for sandwiches and cakes. No tickets needed but please let us know if you are coming.
Sunday 22nd December at 12:30 pm – Festive Lunch
Kathleen is organising a festive lunch on Sunday 22nd. December at the Activities Centre.
- Timing is 12.30 for 1.00 pm.
- Cost about £15.00 for the food but bring your own drink.
- Entertainment will be “home-made” so any contributions welcomed.
- Let Kathleen know by December 15th at the latest if you will be coming.
